Founder and Lead Instructor
Nate’s favorite Excel function is the INDEX/MATCH 1-2 punch. In his spare time, you’ll find Nate on a history tour or taking a day trip with his family.
Nate is the lead instructor at BostonExcel and oversees content development. His teaching style has been described as energetic, passionate, and entertaining. Prior to BostonExcel, Nate worked as an Acquisitions Senior Associate at Gladstone Commercial, a publicly traded REIT, where he focused on underwriting commercial property acquisitions. Prior to Gladstone, Nate worked as an Acquisitions Analyst for the RMR Group, a manager of 4 publicly traded REITs, and as an auditor for Ernst & Young where he focused on the banking and capital markets industry.
Nate earned an MS in Finance & Accounting from Boston College and a BS in Business Management from Brigham Young University–Idaho. Nate is a CPA with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

PivotCharts are Maryn’s favorite Excel function – they create charts that are twice as cool as normal charts but in half the time. Maryn is an economist by training but an artist at heart. She spends her spare time creating children’s books and enhancing her Photoshop and photography skills.
Maryn is an instructor at BostonExcel and helps with content development. Maryn has dedicated herself full-time to BostonExcel since graduating college. Maryn is an expert in all things in Excel including visual Basic for Applications (VBA / macros) and pretty much any formula your could imagine. Maryn has helped more than four dozen companies, including multiple Fortune 1000 companies, optimize their spreadsheets to be more efficient.
Maryn earned a BA in Economics from Wellesley College.
